The configuration settings that are described below are essentially identical for all router brands but there may be small differences, mainly in the user interface. Also, be sure to set the default gateway to the router's address of 192.168.254.1. For each camera, we can give it an IP address within the same subnet as teh computer and router. Click the gear icon to change the camera's IP address. You should see the camera listed, along with its IP address and MAC address. Download FLIR IP Config and run the application. To setup the cameras, you can connect them to the router's local ports. You can set this address by accessing the local port of the router. The router should have a local ethernet port configured to 192.168.254.1. Set an IP address on the computer that will be used to configure the cameras. We will not change this address.įirst, plug the computer and camera cables into the local ports on the router. Every device that is connected to the router and performs a task on the Internet will be identified as having the IP address 81.70.110.243. The 81.70.110.243 address is public and visible from outside the local network. The subnet contains the local addresses which are not seen from outside this local network.
